Policies & Procedures

BE IT RESOLVED The Waadookodaading Ojibwe Language Institute/Akii-gikinoo’amaading Advisory Board hereby approves the following policies (including personnel policies and procedures), rules, exhibits, and other pertinent regulations supported by Wisconsin and Federal Statutes for all school operations effective immediately as follows:

1)   First Order:  Policies, rules, exhibits, and other regulations which have been adopted by this board, LCO Ojibwe School, and the LCO Tribal Governing Board (in that order) will be reasonably applied first to Akii-gikinoo’amaading Charter Schools operations provided they do not conflict with applicable state and federal laws, rules, regulations, and other pertinent regulations;

2)   Second Order:  Policies, rules, exhibits, and other regulations which have been developed by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (and other sources) as approved and codified by the Rice Lake School District and published online at the link to the right will be reasonably applied next until adopted after two readings by the Waadookodaading Ojibwe Language Institute/Akii-gikinoo’amaading Advisory Board

3)   Third Order:  Establish a policy committee to set the goals for the district and provide direction for administrators and others to follow while working toward achieving those goals.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED The designated school director bear full responsibility for implementing both First and Second Order policies, rules, exhibits, and other pertinent regulations as stipulated under the purview of the Waadookodaading Ojibwe Language Institute/Akii-gikinoo’amaading Advisory Board.
